Founded in 2016, New Natives Brass Band has been wowing audiences with their high-energy performances of second-line music mixed with funk, soul, R&B, and hip-hop. The band has performed at many local festivals, including Festival International and SXSW, and they're gearing up for an exciting performance at the Cajun Heartland State Fair.

New Natives is a Louisiana-based band that has a unique sound and style. Founded in 2016, New Natives has had a long and colorful career. Featuring a very diverse membership, they draw on their home state's rich culture and diversity to create an energetic and fun performance. They have performed across the south, sharing their Louisiana culture with others, and boast a long setlist that quickly fills 3 to 4 hours. They are also known for their impromptu street performances and electric stage shows. The band boasts over 100 years of combined musical experience, and they play all genres of music, including Hip-Hop, Rock, and RnB. New Natives is based in Lafayette, Louisiana, and regularly performs at weddings, funerals, and schools. New Natives is known for doing clinics at schools and community organizations and fundraisers for hurricane relief and toy/food drives. New Natives have become a cornerstone of Lafayette's music scene and intend to be around for a while longer.
